I have been to a lot of concerts, seen a lot of great shows. But I’d never seen Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. That changed tonight. An uncle from Rhode Island, a friend from Massachusetts, another friend from around the corner and I spent the evening screaming. A bit.
I get it. If you get the chance, go.
But be prepared, the fans are … different. A lot of folks making multiple runs to the bar, some to the point of falling down. You paid a couple hundred bucks to be there, then you spend a bunch more to stand in line during the performance?
Then there are the folks pointing their phone at the screens and recording those instead of watching the show. (And, yes, I made photos – but briefly, here and there, I didn’t stare at a screen for several hours.)

An evening run to the airport to pick up my uncle, in town for something special tomorrow.
The morning was wet on campus.

There’s more work going on at the stadium on campus, another expansion. Two national championships will give you some cash to flow, I suppose.

Thick fog this morning on the way to the office, made a momentary stop. Probably not the right lens, the edges aren’t what I’d wanted.

Goose had been squinting with one eye, the vet recommended an eye specialist. After spending an hour with her a week ago, the recommendation was an enucleation. The surgery was today and she shall now be known as the Dread Pirate Goosefeather McGee.
She’s recovering well, if a little confused.
