Corridor

Today felt like the last few weeks, all motion and not getting anywhere. When I got to work, I felt like I was three hours behind. I ran from meeting to meeting to meeting to luncheon to class. When it was done, I was the last one in the building, I think, and all I could see were ugly lights, ancient doors and dreary weather.

Please, God, let it snow tonight. I need something bright.

Getting Well

We are about three days out from the Small Boy’s surgery. His recovery has slowed but got a nice boost when both of his teachers stopped in over the weekend, one delivering a stack of get well soon cards from his classmates and the other a book of science experiments to try at home.

You can knock the schools in this town all you want but the fact is Clarke County rocks.
