We are hosting a three-day design thinking workshop at the college and I was put on a team. After some exercises to loosen up our brains, we were sent out to interview folks about our core ideas and concerns.

One student we interviewed was very nervous, uncomfortable talking about mental health issues amongst her peer group, and kept shifting her legs around under a table.

The university has a Faculty Learning Community focused on drones. And, while nearly two years after I started working on drone events and issues, I still don’t have my Part 107 Certification, I’m still hanging around the group … because sometimes you get to watch people learn to fly.

One of the local strip malls still has a lot of empty stores.

Was out working on the next rally (August 4, if you’re interested) when a couple of violent storms descended. Slowed me down but didn’t stop me … the rally goes on.

Headed out for a dinner in with friends. Pizza, wings, laughter, stories … great way to end a week.
