Homeward
Three days in Romania was a lot and, yet, not enough. The extra time stuck in the Amsterdam airport due to their inability to conduct a screening … well, I’ll pass on that next time. At least the light was pretty for a while.
The People’s House
For our free day, we toured what is now known as the People’s House, originally the Place of the Parliament. Looking from a distance like an historic structure, it was started in the early 1980s.
Bucharest, Day Two
Day two of the conference wrapped up and we had the afternoon and evening to wander the Old City. The clouds cleared just as we headed out and the light was wonderful.
Bucharest Wanders
After a marvelous welcoming dinner last night, we’re off to start our work with meetings and conference presentations in the afternoon. My colleagues kept offering me the front seat, mostly so they wouldn’t be terrorized by the crazy traffic in Bucharest.
At least the views out the window are interesting.
