Abandoned
Many years ago, I worked in a Radio Shack. I’d spent enough time in them, buying parts and widgets, studying catalogs and debating the merits of different items with my friends … I should stop right there, because I’m going to confirm how much of a dork I was.
Saddens me to see the empty space that was my Radio Shack.
Giving Thanks
Some years, it’s just us four. Some years, it’s an overflowing table. Some years, it’s just one or two guests.
But I’m always thankful for whoever shares a meal with us.
Road Food
Why my wife stays married to me is a complete mystery. The day before Thanksgiving, I wander two hours away from home to look at (and buy) an extra set of wheels of my Mini. That I’ve had for just six months.
With four slightly used wheels and tires in the bed of the truck, I realized I was hungry and still had a long ride home to finish prep for tomorrow.
Prep
It’s my favorite holiday – all food, little stress and a message of being thankful for what we have and have experienced. I’m happy to shop.
Pairings
Legs and chairs, chairs are free.
Leaping Licorice
We were trying to get a photo of the two dogs together, not sure it really worked out.
